On December 5, Beijing Time, NBA veteran Paul Pierce was pessimistic about the future of the Rockets. He believed that the Rockets'Championship window had closed.
After the Rockets'away defeat to Timberwolves yesterday, Rockets starter point guard Paul was still confident of the Rockets. He even boasted that no team could beat the Rockets in the 7-4 playoff series.
In response, Paul Pierce said in a show today that even if the Rockets were healthy, they would not be able to compare with last season's Rockets.
"If Harden or Paul missed some games because of injury, the Rockets might not even be able to play in the playoffs." Pearce said.
Pierce believes that the reason why the Rockets are unable to compare this season with last season has a lot to do with the adjustment of their off-season lineup, especially the loss of Ariza and Bamot flanks.
"It reminds me that we (Celtics) did not renew James Posey after winning the championship in 2008, which has a great impact on us, and the Rockets lost two important players this summer." Pearce said.
Finally, Pierce concluded: "I think for the Rockets, their championship window is closed."
